About The Position

The Asset Reliability Manufacturing Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and developing the maintenance team to ensure the reliable operation of all production equipment and facilities. This role is critical in maximizing equipment uptime, optimizing maintenance costs, ensuring a safe working environment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing facility. The manager will develop and implement robust preventive and predictive maintenance programs, manage spare parts inventory, and work collaboratively with production, engineering, and quality teams to achieve operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing maintenance role.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance leadership or supervisory position, preferably in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience implementing and managing PM/PdM programs.
  • Strong track record of improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime.
  • Proficiency with CMMS software.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and calibration techniques.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.

  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems (up to 480V), PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), VFDs, and motor controls.
  • Expertise in mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and power transmission.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise a team of maintenance specialists (electrical, mechanical, PLC, etc.).
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Develop and manage work schedules, assignments, and priorities for the maintenance team to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow.
  • Foster a strong safety culture within the maintenance department, ensuring adherence to all safety policies and procedures (e.g., LOTO, confined space, hot work).
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Oversee all reactive maintenance activities, ensuring prompt and effective troubleshooting and repair of production equipment breakdowns.
  • Utilize and optimize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work order generation, tracking, scheduling, and historical data analysis.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring critical spares are available while optimizing inventory levels and costs.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on various production machinery.
  • Analyze maintenance data (e.g., downtime, MTBF, MTTR, OEE) to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma principles) within maintenance to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve equipment reliability.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of capital projects related to new equipment installations, upgrades, and facility improvements.
  • Stay abreast of new maintenance technologies and best practices to continually improve departmental performance.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Safety departments to align maintenance activities with production schedules and overall plant objectives.
  • Communicate maintenance status, schedules, and issues effectively to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for specialized maintenance tasks or equipment support.
  • Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget, including expenditures for labor, parts, external services, and capital improvements.
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs, seeking opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality or reliability.
  • Ensure proper allocation and utilization of maintenance resources.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
  • Participate in safety audits and incident investigations, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and safety compliance.
