We are looking for a Reliability Manager – Manufacturing Facilities to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Facilities and based in Newark, DE. This is a fully on-site, in office role.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering or relevant experience in Facilities
  • Minimum 5 yrs relevant experience in leading a team and talent management.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage a team with multiple projects to meet deadlines amidst changing requirements, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is required, new system implementation/launch experience preferred.
  • Able to work efficiently with cross functional team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written, verbal, and active listening).
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office including Power Point, Excel, and Word.
  • Demonstrates competency in written and verbal English communications to understand safety protocols, hazard communications, and standard operational procedures (SOPs) required to ensure the safety of the employee and others on the manufacturing floor.
  • Able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) strategy for all facility assets, utilities, and infrastructure systems.
  • Establish maintenance programs that maximize equipment availability, reliability, and lifecycle performance while minimizing unplanned downtime.
  • Lead failure analysis activities including Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and corrective action implementation.
  • Develop criticality assessments for facility assets and establish maintenance plans aligned with business risk and operational requirements.
  • Utilize predictive maintenance technologies and condition-based monitoring tools to optimize asset performance.
  • Create long-term reliability roadmaps for HVAC, process utilities, electrical distribution systems, compressed air systems, water treatment systems, and building infrastructure.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and Reliability Excellence methodologies.
  • Lead the implementation, launch, optimization, and ongoing administration of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Establish maintenance workflows, work order management processes, preventive maintenance programs, asset hierarchies, and equipment master data.
  • Develop KPI dashboards and reliability metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of maintenance records, asset histories, spare parts inventories, and equipment documentation.
  • Utilize CMMS analytics to identify recurring failures, maintenance trends, equipment reliability concerns, and opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Drive work management excellence through effective planning, scheduling, backlog management, and resource allocation.
  • Establish and monitor performance indicators including: Planned vs. unplanned maintenance, PM compliance, Work order completion rates, Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Maintenance cost per asset, Contractor performance metrics, Facility uptime and availability.
  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with maintenance contractors, service providers, equipment manufacturers, and key suppliers.
  • Manage annual facilities maintenance budgets, capital projects, and service contracts to ensure cost-effective execution.
  • Conduct regular contractor performance reviews utilizing KPI-based scorecards and service-level agreements.
  • Ensure all contractors comply with Bloom's safety, environmental, quality, and operational standards.
  • Coordinate major maintenance outages, shutdowns, infrastructure upgrades, and capital improvement projects utilizing internal and external resources.
  • Build, lead, and develop a highly skilled facilities and maintenance organization capable of supporting a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Utilize structured talent management methodologies including: Individual Development Plans (IDPs), Performance management frameworks, Succession planning, Skills assessments and competency matrices, Workforce development planning, Leadership coaching and mentoring programs.
  • Create a culture focused on accountability, ownership, safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and provide routine coaching, feedback, and career development opportunities.
  • Identify skill gaps and implement training programs focused on technical proficiency, reliability engineering, maintenance planning, and leadership development.
  • Lead workforce planning initiatives to ensure organizational capability aligns with current and future business requirements.
  • Foster employee engagement and retention through collaborative leadership and recognition programs.
