Requirements

• 10 years of relevant experience in heavy industrial or maintenance roles in the oil and gas industry including management and supervision experience
• A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
• Knowledge of best practices for planning and execution of routine maintenance, outage maintenance and turnarounds, commissioning, shutdowns / startups and process safety management
• Knowledge and experience with SAP and Microsoft Office
• Strong leadership experience along with problem solving skills that enable you to build positive relationships with stakeholders, cross-functional and diverse groups

Responsibilities

• Motivate, engage and lead a diverse team to execute high quality maintenance repairs and align maintenance resources with operational priorities
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and safely execute maintenance strategies and schedules, major maintenance projects and integrity management programs within budget and with minimal interruption to service
• Use performance metrics to monitor results and drive continuous improvement
• Ensure the safety of people, assets, and processes at all times
• Drive continuous improvement by applying best practices to deliver cost-effective maintenance and asset strategies
• Participate in the maintenance contracting strategies development and staffing
• Manage workforce according to the collective agreement in place and collaborate with Suncor and construction unions to resolve labor relation issues
