About The Position

The Manager, M365 Platform is responsible for the strategic direction, daily operations, and overall management of the Microsoft 365 environment at DaVita. This leader will manage a team of messaging and collaboration engineers and administrators, ensuring the reliable, secure, and efficient delivery of M365 services (including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive) to all DaVita teammates. The position partners closely with IT leadership, security, and business stakeholders to maximize the value of the platform, drive adoption, and ensure compliance with healthcare and corporate standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent progressive technical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations, systems engineering, or messaging/collaboration administration.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ServiceNow™ ITSM Platform preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Stay current with Microsoft’s release cycles and feature updates, assessing their potential value and impact on the business.
  • Drive adoption of new M365 features and collaboration tools across the enterprise.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of M365 engineers and administrators.
  • Manage team workload, intake pipelines for requests/incidents, and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Handle recruitment, hiring, performance development, and performance management for direct reports.
  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of the M365 tenant.
  • Serve as the highest escalation point for complex issues related to Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Monitor platform health, optimize performance, and ensure incident SLAs and operational metrics are consistently met.
  • Partner with Information Security and Compliance teams to design and enforce M365 security policies, data loss prevention (DLP), eDiscovery, and retention policies.
  • Ensure the platform adheres to HIPAA and DaVita’s regulatory requirements.
  • Manage access controls, identity management integration, and secure guest access.
  • Manage the technical relationship with Microsoft and relevant third-party vendors.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, clinical stakeholders, and IT partners to gather requirements and deliver solutions that improve teammate collaboration and productivity.
