World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is seeking a Manager, LATAM Implementation Oversight GCF Accredited Entity. The Green Climate Fund (GCF) is a leading international donor for climate change projects, with WWF GCF projects averaging $30-$40 million (excluding co-financing, which can exceed $100 million). As an Accredited Entity (AE) to the GCF, WWF implements innovative, nature-based solutions to protect, restore, and manage ecosystems, aiming to enhance adaptation, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and conserve biodiversity. The WWF-US GCF AE unit manages the relationship with the GCF Secretariat and partners, overseeing the development, implementation, and monitoring of GCF projects, ensuring compliance with GCF policies and WWF standards. The unit, part of the WWF network and hosted within the WWF-US Integration & Performance Team, consists of five staff members and is led by the Vice President, Climate Finance. This role will focus on two WWF GCF projects in Latin America, ranging from $70M to $150M with medium environmental and social risk. The Manager will act as the AE focal point for these projects, coordinating with national governments, donor agencies, private sector entities, and WWF Offices. They will serve as the project focal point to the GCF Secretariat and lead an extended AE team (Finance Manager, Safeguards Specialist, Gender Specialist, and M&E Specialist) in project oversight. These projects aim to assist national governments and local partners in addressing climate change adaptation and mitigation.
