Manager - Language Access Services
About The Position
The Language Access Services Manager provides guidance and direction for interpreter services at Yakima Valley Memorial (YVM). The manager ensures YVM complies with applicable standards established by regulatory agencies, including The Joint Commission, Washington State Department of Health, and the Office of Minority Health. Under general direction, the role designs and implements programming and infrastructure to support language service access for patients, families, and visitors. The manager serves as a liaison on matters involving hearing-impaired patients and interpretation services. Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure. The position is based at MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital, a 226-bed, not-for-profit hospital serving the Yakima Valley. The schedule is Monday through Friday on the day shift, at 1.0 FTE.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a healthcare-related field.
- Completion of a qualified Interpreter Training Program.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree.
