Requirements

Medically Technologist (MT)/Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology
5 years experience in a clinic laboratory with high complexity testing.
2 years experience in a supervisory position required
Bachelor's Degree
Major/Area of Concentration: Medical Laboratory Technology

Responsibilities

Responsible for all areas of the Lab, including Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Transfusion/Blood Bank, Urinalysis, Immunochemistry, Point of Care, Micro, Pathology, Reference Lab, and Phlebotomy for high and moderate complexity testing.
Makes decisions independently and in collaboration with others.
Has direct patient contact and access to confidential employee, patient and financial information.
Works closely with the Laboratory Medical Director and Pathologist to ensure appropriate testing, competency and quality control.
Responsible for the technical and scientific oversight of the laboratory, daily operations, problem resolution, quality improvement, coordination of section and site functions, allocation of resources and staff development, performing and recording competency assessment, and compliance with all CAP/CLIA, regulatory, and Adena Health System policies and procedures.
