This role provides financial guidance and subject matter expertise to support decision-making within a healthcare organization, focusing on financial planning and performance improvement initiatives. The advisor partners with executive leadership, clinical teams, and finance departments to enhance financial sustainability, optimize resource utilization, and ensure alignment with industry best practices. They advise business units on financial performance and the impact of decisions, thinking broadly about downstream outcomes. This role addresses large-scale, cross-departmental problems impacting financial results and partners with operational leadership to identify growth and revenue opportunities. The Advisor creates executive-level reporting packages, analyzes diverse data sets (financial, operational, clinical, economic), and serves as a trusted financial resource for operational leaders, providing reporting, analysis, expense management, operational improvement, and evaluation of growth opportunities. They combine strong relationships, analysis, and risk-conscious planning to ensure unit plans are realized and interface with leadership and front-line team members to execute organizational development strategy and drive change initiatives. The Advisor partners with Assistant CFOs, CFOs, and regional leadership teams to drive actions related to long-range financial planning and annual budgeting, including operating and capital decisions. They analyze complex financial data to drive operational improvement and possess expertise in key financial subject areas, being accountable for accurate volume and expense planning to support regional leaders in achieving goals. This role requires the ability to promote teamwork and develop team members through influence, without direct reports. The Advisor possesses advanced knowledge of their specialization, participates in research, leads planning and development of programs/projects, and provides guidance/training to staff. They may lead non-reporting staff and ensure buy-in for projects or share expertise with others, and have matrixed management responsibilities with financial analysts.
