About The Position

The Manager, IT Vendor Management leads the Vendor Management function, serving as the system of record and central control point for all IT vendor contracts across the enterprise. This role is accountable for establishing and enforcing standardized contract governance across global IT teams (Canada, U.S., and U.K.), ensuring alignment to financial, compliance, and operational objectives.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of experience in Vendor Management, Procurement, IT Finance, or related functions within a complex enterprise environment
  • Proven experience negotiating IT vendor contracts with a strong focus on commercial outcomes and risk mitigation
  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to evaluate pricing models, cost structures, budgets, and contract value to drive cost savings and optimize vendor spend
  • Deep understanding of contract lifecycle management, including drafting, negotiation, execution, renewals, and governance
  • Experience working closely with Legal/attorneys to review, redline, and finalize contracts, ensuring alignment on risk, compliance, and business terms
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure compliance, risk management, and alignment with business objectives
  • Knowledge of vendor risk, security, and compliance processes, including privacy, data protection, and cybersecurity requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to drive vendor performance and accountability, including resolving disputes, managing renewals, and improving commercial terms
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and external vendors
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Owns the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, and Order Forms
  • Ensures contracts are appropriately reviewed, negotiated, executed, and securely maintained
  • Maintains an accurate and auditable contract repository, including a comprehensive renewals calendar and key metadata (terms, notice periods, pricing, ownership, and legal entities)
  • Mitigates Shadow IT by enforcing centralized vendor intake, contracting, and approval processes
  • Partners with Security and Privacy teams to ensure all vendors complete required risk, privacy, and security assessments prior to engagement
  • Leads and supports commercial negotiations, including pricing structures, uplift controls, CPI adjustments, and contract term alignment
  • Reviews and challenges non-standard contractual terms (e.g., indemnities, liability caps, pricing escalators), collaborating with internal legal/compliance resources and external counsel to reach acceptable outcomes
  • Drives cost savings and cost avoidance through structured renewals, vendor consolidation, and commercial optimization strategies
  • Partners closely with IT Finance to ensure vendor contracts align with budgets, forecasts, and cost allocation frameworks
  • Supports vendor onboarding through Graphite Connect, ensuring adherence to intake and governance processes
  • Resolves vendor payment issues and discrepancies by coordinating with Accounts Payable, Finance, and business stakeholders
