About The Position

Constellation is seeking a leader responsible for a team of financial management resources that is responsible for end-to-end IT financial management support (project and baseline), including monthly variance analysis, forecasting, and financial reporting. The role oversees effectiveness of resource and spend forecasts, month-end accruals and journal entries, invoice review and allocations, and submission of forecasts and LRP budgets to FP&A.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Accounting or related discipline and typically 8 to 10 years experience in IT Financial Management or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience managing budgets for functional area of responsibility.
  • Knowledge of business practices and processes related to role
  • Experience leading and managing IT projects or sub teams and knowledge of IT project management
  • Ability to effectively convey complex technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences including investigators, senior management, team members and others
  • Experience leading and managing technical projects and personnel

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification preferred for specific roles as per guidelines established by the IT Project Management Office.
  • Masters Degree

Responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain, and enhance relationships with business and IT partners.
  • Evaluate performance and provide coaching for IT personnel. Participate in career development and succession planning processes. Promote diversity and foster teamwork, collaboration, and a learning organization. Provide input on development and retention processes for IT employees.
  • Lead and manage IT projects and associated system integrators to deliver projects of medium to high complexity.
  • Lead and manage IT staff and resources in accordance with IT Business Plan.
  • Maintain current business knowledge/acumen, including application of technology solutions to deliver business results.
  • Operate utilizing standard processes as defined within the Management Model where applicable.
  • Oversee process improvement efforts and ensure adoption of standard processes and procedures that deliver sustainable top quartile cost and performance levels.
  • Plan and manage scope, schedule, and budget for defined deliverables in accordance with IT project management standards. For operations/application maintenance: Plan and manage to defined service level agreements at agreed upon budgets.
  • Prepare and manage budget for area of responsibility.
  • Expected to be leader in budgeting, approvals, variance analysis reporting, and business case practices.
