Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance / economics / business.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in investor relations, equity research or investment banking, ideally in the retail industry
Solid understanding of financial statements and investment / valuation concepts
Good judgment, a strong work ethic and the ability to meet changing demands with a high degree of flexibility in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects to complete them under tight deadlines
Strong organizational and analytical skills with an extremely high attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to travel as required for investor meetings, conferences and industry events

Nice To Haves

A Master's degree or professional certification is a plus

Responsibilities

Manage the end to end quarterly earnings calendar and process, ensuring planning and timely execution.
Assist with quarterly earnings preparation, including call scripts, key messages and Q&A documents, and manage the schedule / deadlines.
Manage the investor section of the company website, ensuring it contains up-to-date information and represents Five Below appropriately, and own the IR email inbox, ensuring prompt responses and organization.
Work closely with the finance, legal and marketing teams to analyze data to ensure a consistent and integrated message.
Perform ad hoc projects as requested in a timely manner.
Work with third-party providers to monitor market trends, stock surveillance, peer activities and investor sentiment.
Analyze and summarize sell-side research reports and models, and flag anomalies to the Vice President.
Work closely with external parties to ensure accuracy of consensus providers.
Prepare analyst profiles as needed and for quarterly follow-up calls with analysts.
Organize and participate in investor calls, events, conferences, roadshows as well as headquarters and store visits, including preparing itineraries and briefing books and store summaries.
Keep detailed notes on meetings and follow-up as needed.
Work closely with external providers to maintain a best-in-class investor relations department.
Manage the IR budget.
