About The Position

The Investment Finance team is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Manager to join our dynamic team. This individual will be responsible for preparing and assisting in the preparation of the investment quarterly/annual disclosures and reporting for Athene. This includes providing financial statement analysis, variance analysis, and financial results messaging to Athene's leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with specific experience in GAAP and Statutory reporting.

Requirements

• 5+ years directly relatable technical experience
• 2+ years of direct or indirect team leadership experience
• Proficiency in Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required

Nice To Haves

• CPA, MBA, or CFA a plus
• Knowledge of investment types and related reporting preferred
• Knowledge of GAAP and Statutory financial accounting regulations a plus

Responsibilities

• Responsible for investment reporting on a GAAP and Statutory basis.
• Prepare quarterly and annual 10Q/10K and MD&A investment disclosures.
• Assist with SEC reporting requirements and respond to Investor/Analyst questions.
• Support the financial analysis of operating results, balance sheets, and other key performance indicators.
• Maintain and update process documentation and support audit requests to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support new assumed reinsurance initiatives and reporting considerations for strategic transactions.
• Lead/Drive transformation within the Investment Finance area enhancing investment reporting capabilities.
• Builds and fosters close relationships with Apollo, Investment Accounting, Financial Reporting, and IT business areas.
• Develop and lead a team of professionals by setting expectations, mentoring and coaching, driving results, sharing strategic direction, collaborating and communicating effectively.
