About The Position

The Encore Boston Harbor Manager – Investigations is responsible for overseeing the Investigations Team in conducting investigations on and documenting all security incidents occurring on property. This includes, but is not limited to: theft, cheating, and misconduct; protecting company assets and providing a safe environment for team members and guests; conducting interviews and preparing formal reports.

Requirements

  • 21 years of age or above.
  • Will be required to obtain and maintain registration or a license issued by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.
  • High school or equivalent degree preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience conducting investigations and managing a team.
  • Military, Security, or Law Enforcement experience is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role required.
  • Must possess outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills, as well as excellent attention to detail.
  • Requires a strong understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests.
  • Fluency in English required, second language a plus.
  • Ability to write detailed reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.
  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to decipher various reports and maintain reports upon request.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to all Encore Boston Harbor core values and property and department standards.
  • Actively contributes to the departmental performance, and the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental policies and procedures; records and reports.
  • Verifies that all applicable internal policies, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and controls property wide are enforced within the department.
  • Delivers and maintains a maximum level of property-wide service and satisfaction.
  • Contributes to company-wide communication and best practices.
  • Keeps informed of all new developments within the department.
  • Provides excellent internal and external guest relations, which may require levels of patience, tact and diplomacy.
  • Manages multiple priorities simultaneously and meets deadlines, often in stressful and high-pressure situations.
  • Prepares reports regarding investigations and follows up on reported incidents; submits to Security Management.
  • Reviews incident reports and statements written or obtained by Security personnel or others.
  • Conducts follow-up investigations with respect to incident reports, where appropriate.
  • Conducts investigations that may involve guests, Team Members, and/or others on resort property concerning such matters as theft, cheating, and misconduct.
  • Cooperates with and coordinates investigations conducted by outside law enforcement agencies as assigned by Security Management.
  • Creates and manages assigned schedules to ensure adequate shift coverage.
  • Works with safety as a priority and follows department and company safety standards.
  • Maintains relevant knowledge of industry through continuing education and training.
  • Performs any other job-related duties as assigned.
