About The Position

Under the leadership of the Director, Program Initiatives & Education, this position has accountability for implementing the ELCHC’s education initiatives & policies including IACET accreditation process & procedures, and early childhood education workforce. This position will oversee the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Coalition's Learning Management System (LearnWorlds), ensuring an engaging, accessible, and user-friendly learning experience for educators, providers, staff, and community partners. This position supervises the Education Support Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Educational Leadership, Public Administration, or a closely related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in early childhood education, workforce development, professional learning, or a related field, including experience supervising staff and managing multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and evaluating professional development programs across multiple delivery formats, including in-person, virtual, hybrid, and self-paced learning, preferably within a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design principles, data analysis, and continuous quality improvement, with the ability to use data to identify workforce needs, measure outcomes, and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Ability to exemplify our Core Values.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in early childhood programs, to include in-classroom experience.
  • Proven ability to connect with a diverse population.
  • Knowledge of Best-In-Class Customer Service techniques.
  • Advanced organizational, analytical, project management, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide consultation and technical assistance in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Ability to navigate challenging situations and provide solutions.
  • This position requires successful completion of the level 2 background screening standards as set forth in s. 435.04, F.S.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License and the ability to drive a passenger vehicle.
  • Intermediate/advanced skills with Microsoft Office Products.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) preferred.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of high-quality professional learning opportunities delivered through in-person, virtual, hybrid, and self-paced formats, utilizing adult learning principles and evidence-based instructional design practices.
  • Establish quality standards and oversee the development, review, and continuous improvement of training curriculum, learning pathways, assessments, digital resources, and instructional materials.
  • Utilize program data, participant feedback, workforce trends, assessment results, and organizational priorities to identify professional development needs, evaluate training effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with departments across the Coalition to assess training needs, develop customized professional development solutions, and ensure organizational initiatives are supported through effective learning opportunities.
  • Foster the strategic design, development and implementation of innovative initiatives that promote the early childhood workforce.
  • Develop a strategic plan to offer training and other resources to all providers in the early learning community.
  • Manage the IACET accreditation process and ensure compliance with all the IACET standards.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the Education team to ensure consistency.
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing/Communication team to develop and implement appropriate strategies and programs to gain public exposure for ELCHC.
  • Organize and execute events for providers.
  • Represent the ELCHC at local, state, and national conferences and meetings.
  • Foster innovation by identifying emerging trends, best practices, and new learning technologies that enhance professional development and strengthen the early childhood workforce.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with local, state, and national organizations to expand professional learning opportunities and strengthen workforce development initiatives.
  • Monitor departmental performance through data analysis, performance metrics, and reporting to evaluate outcomes, identify opportunities for improvement, and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Support Director, Program Initiatives & Education.
  • Perform other duties necessary to maintain the success of the organization, as determined by leadership.
