This position leads process improvement tools and methods such as 5S, root cause analysis, Six Sigma, and time and motion studies to eliminate losses within a Distribution Center, following the Network Process Structure and Walmart Performance System (WPS) programs. The role involves delivering expected functional area results through Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis, loss elimination, and creating standard work to reduce process variation. The Manager II will also assist with the review and response of process improvement projects owned by area managers, apply new network One Best Way playbooks, and provide input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams on project ideation and replication opportunities. Additionally, the role involves leading savings projects within the area of responsibility by removing loss from the process, promoting company policies, assisting with the tactical deployment of the WPS program methodology, managing project execution of top losses, and building the capability of other area managers and associates. The position supports area loss profile analysis, performance metrics, and develops gap analysis for WPS integration. It also involves supporting Department Managers with WPS programs, projects, associate engagement, and KPI improvements. The role requires coordinating and overseeing job-related activities by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals, building accountability, measuring progress, and identifying improvement opportunities. The Manager II will also provide supervision and development opportunities for associates, ensuring compliance with company policies and supporting the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
