About The Position

This position leads process improvement initiatives within a Distribution Center, focusing on eliminating losses and improving efficiency. The role involves applying various process improvement tools and methods, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs), and developing standard work to reduce process variation. The Manager II will also assist with process improvement projects, implement new network playbooks, and contribute to project ideation and replication. A key aspect of the role is leading savings projects by identifying and eliminating process losses, while also promoting company policies and values. The position supports the deployment of the Walmart Performance System (WPS) methodology, manages project execution, and builds improvement capabilities among managers and associates. Additionally, the role involves supporting loss profile analysis, developing gap analyses for WPS integration, and assisting Department Managers with WPS programs, projects, associate engagement, and KPI improvements. The role also includes coordinating job-related activities, developing stakeholder relationships, supporting business plans, identifying goals, building accountability, and promoting continuous learning. Finally, the position involves providing supervision and development opportunities for associates, ensuring compliance with company policies, and promoting a culture of belonging and integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
  • 3 years’ experience in Process Improvement
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • analytical skills
  • Process or Value Stream Simulation knowledge
  • Demonstrated project ownership resulting in sustainable, long term savings

Responsibilities

  • Leads process improvement tools and methods—including 5S, root cause analysis, Six Sigma, and time-and-motion studies—to eliminate losses within a Distribution Center, aligned to the Network Process Structure and the Walmart Performance System (WPS).
  • Delivers expected functional area results through KPI analysis, loss elimination, and the creation of standard work to reduce process variation.
  • Assists with the review, execution, and response for process improvement projects owned by area managers.
  • Applies new network One Best Way playbooks and provides input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams on project ideation and replication opportunities.
  • Leads savings projects within the assigned area by identifying and eliminating process losses.
  • Promotes and supports company policies, initiatives, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Assists with the tactical deployment of WPS methodology, manages project execution targeting top losses, and builds improvement capability among area managers and associates.
  • Supports area loss profile analysis and performance metrics; develops gap analyses to advance WPS integration.
  • Supports Department Managers with WPS programs, projects, associate engagement, and KPI improvements.
