About The Position

This role oversees daily maintenance operations across multiple warehouses or a single complex facility, ensuring the installation, repair, and upkeep of machines, equipment, and utility systems. The Manager II will manage engineering and maintenance teams, set performance objectives, and monitor compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Occasional travel up to 5-12% may be required for development, training, and other business needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience required in maintenance with at least 3 years directly managing or supervising others.
  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize effectively.
  • Fully competent in mechanical and basic electrical concepts with ability to work hands-on in mechanically oriented situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and experience with SAP or Oracle CMMS platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree or higher relevant to facility maintenance preferred.
  • CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) or similar certification preferred.
  • Completion of all eight RETA courses preferred.
  • RETA CARO or CIRO or equivalent preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards.
  • Material Handling Equipment (Forklift) knowledge and certification preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to build mentoring relationships and contribute to team development.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and assign work to engineering and maintenance associates, set performance objectives, and monitor team performance.
  • Prepare annual maintenance budgets, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions to achieve financial objectives.
  • Determine work priorities and schedule repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to support operational productivity.
  • Design, implement, and modify preventive maintenance programs by reviewing reports, inspecting equipment, and ensuring operational standards are met.
  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations and state codes, maintain a safe and clean working environment, and protect employees and visitors.
  • Maintain and analyze equipment reliability reports, initiate action plans for improvement, and ensure material handling equipment is operational and in good repair.
  • Execute capital projects including obtaining bids, submitting requests, and managing contractors and vendors throughout the process.
  • Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.
