Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager-HVAC Operations. In this role, the successful candidate supervises all activities of the HVAC Shops, including direct supervision of two foremen and up to 24 mechanics and helpers. The individual is responsible for ensuring code compliance for all HVAC systems and associated equipment and for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and reliability of all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across the hospital campus. The candidate directs the day-to-day activities of union shop staff; retains and supervises outside contractors and HVAC consultants; and implements maintenance requests from clients, other maintenance supervisors, and project managers. Responsibilities also include performing shutdowns, startups, and testing of chiller and fire standpipe systems to ensure the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation and maintenance of plant systems. In addition, the candidate performs startup and commissioning activities for new and existing HVAC and control systems. This role ensures safe, compliant, and efficient HVAC performance in support of patient care, clinical operations, infection control, and regulatory requirements. The manager oversees HVAC technicians, coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance, and partners with clinical, facilities, and safety teams to maintain optimal environmental conditions in a 24/7 healthcare setting.
