About The Position

As a Manager Global Project Coordination at Avania, you will play a key leadership role in shaping and scaling the global project coordination function while supporting the successful delivery of clinical research projects across the business. You will lead a geographically distributed team of Project Coordinators, partnering closely with Project Management and cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen audit readiness, documentation quality, team capability, and operational consistency. This role is central to building the backbone of project delivery, with a strong focus on people leadership, process improvement, compliance, and collaboration across regions and functions. You will oversee areas such as TMF management, onboarding and offboarding practices, training, coordination standards, and selected financial support activities, while helping the function evolve in line with business growth. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a global team of Project Coordinators, providing day-to-day direction, coaching, support, and performance oversight across multiple locations and time zones
  • Build team capability through structured onboarding, training, mentoring, and development, helping create a strong pipeline of future talent within project management
  • Drive high standards of audit readiness and documentation quality, with a particular focus on TMF-related practices, compliance, and complete, accurate study records
  • Establish and improve global coordination processes, ensuring ways of working are consistent, scalable, and aligned across regions rather than operating in local silos
  • Partner closely with Project Management to ensure the coordination function effectively supports study delivery through strong organization, follow-up, and operational discipline
  • Support the function’s involvement in financial and administrative project activities, including gathering information for change orders, unit release activity in NetSuite, and relevant project reporting support
  • Work cross-functionally with teams such as Clinical Operations, Finance, and system stakeholders to improve coordination workflows, reporting, and ownership across shared processes
  • Contribute to system-related processes connected to project coordination, including supporting effective use of tools and helping represent business needs in system-related discussions where relevant
  • Use metrics, reporting, and operational insights to identify priorities, remove noise, and focus the team on the activities that matter most to delivery quality and compliance
  • Act as a visible advocate for the value of project coordination as a critical operational function, bringing energy, accountability, and continuous improvement to the role
