About The Position
The Operations team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Manager General Manufacturing 2 based out of Woodland Hills, CA. You will be responsible for developing and administering budgets, executing, and recommending modifications to organizational processes and procedures. This leadership position requires working closely and collaborating with the Woodland Hills and SLC manufacturing organizations, engineering, program office, mission assurance, transportation, and supply chain management. You will also be responsible for the daily operations of a teams or work cells.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree + 5 years of experience; Master's Degree + 3 years of experience; Ph.D + 0 years of experience (Note, an additional 4+ years of work experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
- Experience in solving problems on the manufacturing floor.
- Proficient experience in Microsoft Office Suite, such as Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain US Secret Clearance.
- Experience in managing consumables / supplies.
Nice To Haves
- 3+ years of experience in Optics / Glass manufacturing.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Management discipline.
- 5+ years of related experience in Lean Manufacturing, data driven decision making and visual factory management.
- Experience with clean room protocols.
Responsibilities
- Direct supervision of the staff.
- Assignment of work, schedules, day-to-day workflow, and operating costs.
- Assignments are received in task-oriented terms.
- Provides directions to subordinates using established policies and procedures.
- Supports targeted training plan execution for new operators introduced to the team or work cell to ensure proficiency is obtained and maintained.
- Works with other functional areas to ensure program goals are executed in support of cost, schedule and quality.
