Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a 3rd Shift General Manufacturing Manager 2 based out of Linthicum, MD. This role involves direct supervision of approximately 20-25 represented (union) employees and processes in a Manufacturing environment for PRFC Cell. The manager will work independently across organizations, manage the use of consumables to achieve budget targets, assign and manage represented EMS Operators to maximize efficiency and achieve target productive yields, implement process improvements to improve affordability, quality, and schedule, and perform required SAP/MES transactions to manage Operator and/or M&P Specialist.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Project/Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related discipline; Master’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of work experience in Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related discipline; a minimum of 12 years of experience in Project Management, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, or other related discipline may be considered in lieu of degree
Experience leading people across large organizations
Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement
Experience acting as a liaison between multiple disciplines to solve complex problems
Experience troubleshooting and developing creative solutions to meet customer demands
Experience driving continuous improvement through mitigating risks and realizing opportunities
Current, active U.S. Government Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP).
U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Expertise in earned value management, proposal preparation, and/or integrated master schedule (IMS) development
Experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM)
Manufacturing experience of defense related electronics
Continuous improvement techniques – Six Sigma, Kaizen, LEAN, Red X, etc.
Proposal creation and labor estimating
Technical project management
Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) Investigation type activities
Experience as a Functional Manager
