About The Position

IDinsight seeks a strategic and relationship-driven Manager, Fundraising to join our global External Affairs team. This role will lead efforts to grow and diversify IDinsight’s funding base by cultivating institutional funders – including foundations, bilateral and multilateral donors, and corporate partners – alongside building IDinsight’s emerging major gifts program, focused on high-net-worth individuals and philanthropists. As a Manager on the External Affairs team, you will drive the full fundraising cycle: from prospecting and cultivation through solicitation, stewardship, and renewal. You will collaborate extensively across IDinsight’s global teams – including regional leadership, project teams, communications, and senior management – to develop compelling funding cases, coordinate funder engagement, and ensure IDinsight’s resource mobilization efforts are cohesive and aligned with organizational strategy. You will also oversee the health and strategic use of IDinsight’s CRM (Salesforce), ensuring data quality and pipeline visibility to support evidence-based fundraising decisions. This is a high-visibility role suited for someone who thrives in cross-functional environments, can navigate ambiguity, and brings both the analytical rigor and interpersonal skill to build relationships with a range of funders and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in fundraising or development, with at least 2 years focused on major gifts, individual giving, or high-net-worth donor engagement.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and closing five- and six-figure (or larger) gifts from institutional and/or individual donors.
  • Experience working with or for international or globally-oriented nonprofit organizations, ideally in the global development, evidence, or social impact space.
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms, with the ability to oversee data quality, reporting, and pipeline management (required).
  • Exceptional written communication skills, including the ability to produce compelling proposals, donor correspondence, and strategic communications.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities across time zones.
  • A collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented approach; comfort working across cultures and in a distributed, fast-paced team environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able and willing to regularly take calls outside of normal working hours to accommodate various time zones.
  • Minimum one-year commitment expected.
