Manager, FP&A - Aetna Business Operations
About The Position
The Manager, FP&A supports the Aetna Business Operations consolidated reporting team. The role consolidates financial results and prepares management presentations and talking points for month-end close, forecasts, budgets, and the multi-year strategic plan. It also drives standardization across the organization and works with Aetna Business Operations finance teams to provide accurate, timely reporting and explain key financial drivers. The role requires strong communication and reporting skills, the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to work independently within management guidance. The position supports planning and analysis for projects of varying complexity, including financial metrics and process-improvement initiatives. It also supports capital planning and expense-management strategies, special projects, and ad hoc analyses, while promoting continuous process improvement and effective use of technology.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of relevant financial experience.
- Experienced skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with financial systems.
- Proficiency with Anaplan, Hyperion, and S4 Hana.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, and/or equivalent professional work experience.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to consolidate and report results to business partners and management.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize multiple activities and responsibilities, and work independently within management guidance.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate planning and analysis for projects of varying nature and complexity, including financial metrics and process-improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Aetna Business Operations finance teams to understand financial results and key drivers, and ensure presentations and analysis are detailed and accurate.
- Support capital planning and expense-management strategies in partnership with Aetna Business Operations finance teams.
- Support special projects and perform ad hoc analyses.
- Drive standardization in how work is performed across the organization.
- Promote continuous process improvement and leverage technology.
