About The Position

This role supports the Aetna Business Operations consolidated reporting team. It is responsible for consolidating financial results and preparing management presentations and talking points for month close, forecasts, budgets, and the multi-year strategic plan. The role also drives standardization in how work is performed across the organization and partners closely with Aetna Business Operations finance teams to ensure reporting is accurate and timely and that key financial drivers are understood.

The successful candidate communicates effectively, can consolidate and report results to business partners and management, and can manage multiple activities in a fast-paced environment. The role requires working independently within a framework set by management, adapting to change, solving problems creatively, and using technology to support continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of relevant financial experience.
• Experienced skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with financial systems.
• Proficiency with Anaplan, Hyperion, and S4 Hana.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional work experience.

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare, managed care, or financial services experience.
• Advanced degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordinating the planning and analysis of projects of varying nature and complexity, including financial metrics and process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Aetna Business Operations finance teams to understand the overall story and key drivers and ensure financial presentations and analysis are detailed and accurate.
• Support capital planning and expense management strategies in partnership with Aetna Business Operations finance teams.
• Support special projects and perform ad hoc analyses.
• Drive standardization across the organization in how work is done.
• Promote continuous process improvement and leverage technology.
