About The Position

This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact FP&A role supporting one of Canadian Tire Corporation’s most strategic and complex business portfolios. As Manager, FP&A – Real Estate, you will help shape decisions across occupancy costs, capital investments, lease economics, portfolio performance, and long-range planning. Reporting to the AVP, FP&A, Mark’s and Real Estate, this role offers strong exposure to Real Estate leaders, Finance partners, and cross-functional teams during a period of continued transformation. You will bring financial discipline, business insight, and a continuous improvement mindset to strengthen planning, improve decision support, and help deliver against strategic and financial objectives. This role is well suited to someone who knows how to connect the numbers to the business, influence decisions, and build better ways of working. You will lead an FP&A team, deepen partnerships across Real Estate and Finance, and play an active role in modernizing how financial insights are planned, reported, and used across the business.

  • Analytical and technical capability: You are comfortable with reporting, forecasting, financial modelling, and dashboards; Power BI experience is considered an asset.
  • University degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5–7+ years of progressive finance, accounting, FP&A, or analytical experience, ideally with exposure to real estate, capital planning, project accounting, cost capitalization, or cost management.

Nice To Haves

  • Power BI experience is considered an asset.
  • Professional accounting or financial designation, such as CPA or CFA, or a post-graduate degree, such as an MBA, is considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft and Hyperion products is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare insightful monthly and quarterly reporting that clearly explains performance drivers, risks, and opportunities to balance of year performance for senior leaders.
  • Own forecasting and planning activities for Real Estate P&L and balance sheet items, including lease and occupancy expenses, capital investments, cost capitalization, and intercompany transactions.
  • Work with Real Estate and cross-functional stakeholders to provide practical recommendations, strong financial analysis, and a clear view of the drivers behind performance.
  • Coach analysts, set clear priorities, support development, and foster an inclusive team culture built on curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Work across FP&A, Real Estate, Accounting, and other partners to ensure key initiatives are reflected in plans, forecasts, and decision-making models.
  • Help modernize reporting, forecasting, and planning through automation, standardized models, self-service tools, and scalable ways of working.
