About The Position

At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin’s Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. As the Manager of multi discipline fluids design team, you will set technical and product support directions and develop team members to support current and future program needs. You will also support in-house and supplier activities in the design, fabrication, and continuous improvement of fluids components for the MK1 Lunar Lander. This includes leading and promoting process improvement and development activities across all phases of the component life cycle to support product delivery. You will be responsible for the complete employee experience, including hiring, performance management, training, and providing tools for career development. You will help improve technical processes, requirements and tool development as well as provide day-to-day direction. This role is an integral part of the Blue Origin MK1 Lunar Lander program, where our focus is the design, development, manufacturing, procurement, and testing of the lander fluid and propulsion systems. In addition to people management responsibilities, you will provide direct technical support across all phases of the component life cycle. You will contribute to and lead component design, manufacturing, and test support; perform data reviews and test readiness reviews; and support anomaly investigations and root cause analyses to drive corrective actions and hardware improvements.
