About The Position

Valmet is seeking a talented Fluids Engineer to join their team, focusing on the design of hydraulic and pneumatic systems within the pulp & paper industry. The role involves supporting customers with world-class technology solutions. The Fluids Engineer will be responsible for creating circuit drawings, piping diagrams, valve panel assembly drawings, component selection, installation task lists, system sizing, and engineering calculations for flow and pressure. Participation in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and start-ups is also part of the role.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree
• Minimum of four years' related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Understanding of fluid circuit design
• Ability to use AutoCad
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Offer of employment is contingent upon a background check and drug screen

Nice To Haves

• Some paper industry experience
• Heavy industrial equipment experience preferred
• Cadmatic experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Create circuit drawings and piping diagrams
• Create valve panel assembly drawings
• Work with component selection and create installation task lists
• Responsible for system sizing (hydraulic power units, valves, pipes)
• Engineering calculations for flow and pressure
• Participate in FAT and start-ups as required
