Manager Flight Ops Data Exchange program (FOX)
About The Position
The Global Aviation Data Management (GADM) team is responsible for the development, implementation and support of data solutions needed to monitor safety, operational and capacity KPIs. The Manager Flight Ops Data Exchange program (FOX) will play a critical role in the successful implementation, stabilization, and long-term operationalization of the FOX (Flight Operations Data Exchange) program. This role involves leading the implementation phase, managing the transition to steady-state operations, serving as the primary technical resource, collaborating with IT on data pipelines, establishing operational procedures, and ensuring comprehensive technical documentation. This is an 8-month contract with the potential for a permanent role upon successful project completion.
Requirements
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or comparable educational level
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in data integration and analytics
- Experience working with XML format, Snowflake and SQL Data Warehouse Technology.
- Proven ability to lead system implementations or large-scale technical programs
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Excellent communication skills in English
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of data modeling is a big plus.
- Knowledge of flight operations or flight dispatch is an asset
- Knowledge of an additional language is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation phase of the FOX program, ensuring all milestones are met and deliverables align with business needs.
- Manage a smooth transition from project implementation to steady-state operations.
- Serve as the primary technical resource for the design and development of the FOX program.
- Collaborate with the IT team on data ingestion and pipelines.
- Establish operational procedures and quality standards.
- Ensure all technical documentation is comprehensive and up-to-date.
