Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Accounting or equivalent
  • Designated Canadian CPA with minimum 3 years post qualification experience
  • Strong interest to enroll in the Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional Qualification Program
  • Experience on large, complex restructuring engagements
  • Experience developing and working with cash flow models
  • Advanced business modelling skills and experience required
  • Proven capabilities in problem solving, situational analysis, creativity, negotiation and decision making
  • High level of technical competence in conducting financial analysis
  • Ability to prepare high quality written communication
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial statement analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Highly motivated, analytical, logical thinkers with a passion for Restructuring Services and have a very strong attention to detail.
  • Being a strong team player is critical with the ability to adapt to changing requirements or deadlines in support of our clients goals

Responsibilities

  • As a Director (Manager), you will be part of the restructuring team helping our clients evaluate capital options, capture greater transaction value and achieve strategic objectives - whether they are buying or selling a distressed asset, restructuring a business, dealing with underperformance, or looking to improve cash management.
  • You will assist in the planning and execution of engagements including performing in-depth analysis of a debtor's financial situation and identifying strategies for dealing with various issues.
  • Assist in aspects of pursuits and proposal development.
  • Contribute to our practice development initiatives, supporting the continued focus on our team as a great place to work.
  • Learn and develop technical and personal skills to support achievement of career goals, through a blend of structured learning, coaching and experiences.
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with clients and support to key decision makers.
