Requirements

  • University degree in accounting / business administration.
  • 3-5+ years’ experience in AR, AP, including 2+ years at a leadership level.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and other ERP systems, including implementation and optimization of Accounts Payable processes.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player with the ability to collaborate and build relationships.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.
  • Developing and implementing processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required with external & internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of the Canadian Accounts Payable (includes Corporate, Fuel and Maintenance payables), Accounts Receivable, Office Services and Facilities departments.
  • Ensure cross-departmental communication is in place to support various teams on issues that involve multiple departments.
  • Participate in Finance team talent planning and develop team members to support the growth of the department and organization.
  • Evaluate current procedures looking for opportunities for efficiencies and/or improvements.
  • Maintain audit-ready financial records and documentation.
  • Preparation and review of existing Finance Operations reporting and developing new reporting to assist the company in improving financial efficiencies.
  • Review Accounts Payable and Receivable account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
