About The Position
Manager - Financial Analysis Following our 2025 acquisition of Discover, we have a transformative journey ahead of us to both integrate the Discover Card business and catalyze innovation and growth. Specifically, we are looking for a candidate to join the Finance team supporting Discover Card Customer Management activities along with other horizontal FP&A processes supporting the total Discover Card portfolio. The ideal candidate will have superior analytical skills, the ability to build collaborative partnerships across a broad set of stakeholders and exceptional problem-solving abilities in undefined and complex situations. As a Manager, Financial Analysis, you will have the opportunity to partner with business customers on driving strategic business direction that leads to sustainable performance. You will work for a company that invests in ways to tell stories, view trends, and diagnose results in a more compelling and visual nature. We are seeking candidates that will challenge our current well-managed processes to be more proactive, effective and efficient. Managers perform financial data analysis in preparing Profit & Loss or other statements and frequently build reports for higher level associates; provide management and business clients with project statuses; perform reporting and analysis to support presentation and ad-hoc requests. Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- At least 5 years experience in financial analysis, financial modeling or a combination
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative major (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering)
- Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Certified Treasury Professional or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license, or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or CFM
- 6+ years of experience in financial analysis and financial modeling
- 4+ years experience in financial services, banking or technology industries
- 4+ years experience partnering with senior leaders and internal stakeholders
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills or Google Suite
- Strong SQL and Python skills
Responsibilities
- Financial reporting and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and Profit & Loss (P&L) management
- Presentations to business stakeholders
- Assist in development of presentations to communicate analysis results to senior audiences, clearly articulate outcomes of analysis to leadership teams
- Ad-hoc requests and special projects
