About The Position

Our Finance team, called COO Finance, supports Transformation, Enablement and Customer Experience, which includes several innovative and customer focused business units such as DSIP (Digital Strategy, Innovation and Payments), SCOE (Strategy, Change and Operational Excellence), AI2 (Analytics, Insights & Artificial Intelligence), Marketing, and Enterprise Real Estate. The COO Finance team is comprised of energetic individuals committed to creating a high-quality finance support function delivering valuable insights and analysis. The Finance Business Partner teams deliver strategic advice to partners within the Bank, provide effective controls, build plans and forecasts and financial reporting. The DSIP Finance team mandate includes: Performance Measurement & Analysis, Planning & Forecasting, Initiative Decision Support, and Value added analysis, advice, and guidance to business partners. We are currently looking to expand our DSIP Finance team.

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 7+ years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Serving as a Finance subject matter expert, while demonstrating a holistic viewpoint, on key components of DSIP Business and major DSIP initiatives. This will include frequent interaction with the business leaders
  • Working with their business partners to build value proposition templates for major DSIP initiatives, and integrating them into mechanisms to track program spend
  • Working with their business partners to build these initiatives into the annual financial plan and quarterly forecasts for their portfolio
  • Being a leader in forecasting & planning by further building process excellence and leveraging partners to provide value add to the business
  • Liaise with senior management and decision support team during the planning process to ensure initiatives are effectively incorporated into the business Annual Plan
  • Conducting analysis of forecast results and broader trends to provide a reasonable view of the future of the business with advice to improve decision making
  • Providing insightful and relevant commentary to Senior Management on business results, forecast and Plan
  • Developing of monthly and quarterly operating result packages. Conduct progressive analysis on monthly results and provide value add advice, and guidance
  • Being responsible to identify financial opportunities, conduct the necessary analysis to develop options and offer well supported recommendations to senior management. This includes strong written and in-person presentation skills
  • Proactively identifying issues and recommend actions to senior management
  • Provide leadership and support to the DSIP Finance team, fostering a positive and rewarding work environment
  • Working with senior management and lead in the development / implementation of new financial models, methodologies to support the business in understanding the financial impact of their decisions
  • Providing value-added financial analysis and advisory support to business partners to develop and execute strategic plans and goals or respond to ad hoc requests for business analysis
