About The Position

The Finance Manager leads monthly and quarterly reporting, providing financial insights and performance analysis to operations and senior leadership. The role oversees key aspects of the close process, drives financial compliance, and ensures the proper application of cost accounting principles. Working closely with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Commercial leaders, the Finance Manager supports strategic decisions and continuous improvement. The position is based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and is hybrid or onsite, with an expectation of working in the office 3–4 days per week.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; accounting or finance preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze financial statements and reports for monthly and quarterly reporting, tax reporting, and other internal and external reporting requirements.
• Analyze monthly operating performance and profit projections, identify trends, and develop action plans to improve financial results.
• Partner with Operations and Commercial leaders on KPI performance, strategic decision-making, and business objectives.
• Provide financial leadership and direction as a member of the Finance team, supporting business strategy and company initiatives.
• Ensure consistent and accurate application of Corporate and Division cost accounting policies, principles, and procedures.
• Evaluate finance and accounting system requirements and identify opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency.
• Champion company initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory, quality, legal, corporate, and HR policies and procedures.
• Lead and develop team members through hiring, coaching, performance management, technical support, scheduling, and employee development.
• Foster collaborative partnerships with Operations and Commercial teams.
