The Plumbing Manager supervises the day-to-day activities and performance of all Plumbers. Under direction of the General Manager, the Plumbing Manager ensures that employees are assigned to perform work in keeping with their position as required. This role focuses on directing and managing the Plumbing business in the operating area, aiming for gross margin goals and generating revenue opportunities. The manager is responsible for providing a superior level of service to ensure long-term business growth and the ability to seek new ventures. Key duties include supervising installations, repairs, and maintenance within the plumbing department, providing day-to-day supervisory support to direct reports, and fostering team leadership. The role also involves maintaining records and files, preparing and analyzing reports and charts concerning worker utilization and job time rates, and planning, scheduling, supervising, and assigning the activities of the Plumbing team. Establishing work standards, production control, and job priorities are essential, as is maintaining a safe work environment and enforcing the safety culture. The manager will also assist with determining time and cost estimates for plumbing jobs and perform related work as required.
