About The Position

The Manager, Epidemiology and Real-World Data, Orthopedics is a hands-on, manager-level individual-contributor role focused on designing, executing, and disseminating real-world evidence (RWE) and outcomes research. Working under the scientific guidance of the Director, the Manager owns assigned studies, conducts analyses, and translates findings into scientific publications and communications. The role collaborates with cross-functional partners to address evidence gaps and support product lifecycle and market access needs. This is a remote role available in all states within the United States. Johnson & Johnson plans to separate its Orthopaedics business into a standalone company operating as DePuy Synthes. The planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to applicable requirements and approvals. If the transaction concludes, the employee is anticipated to become an employee of DePuy Synthes, with employment governed by its processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. The position designs and conducts RWE and outcomes research, prepares study protocols and analysis plans, performs hands-on data preparation and statistical programming, and interprets results using real-world healthcare data. It also develops manuscripts, abstracts, presentations, research-based models, and tools; supports economic modeling and market access analytics as needed; manages study timelines and deliverables; and maintains scientific rigor, documentation, and reproducible analyses. The Manager works with internal stakeholders and external vendors and collaborators, and may present findings at scientific conferences, advisory boards, and industry working groups.
