Requirements

  • Associate's Degree (Two (2) years of relevant work experience would be considered in lieu of degree)
  • 5 years progressively responsible relevant experience with at least one (1) year supervisory or managerial experience in an acute care facility

  • 5 years of managerial experience in a hospital facility
  • Spanish-speaking skills
  • Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP)
  • Must be 21 years of age to drive a UW Health Fleet vehicle and must be 25 years of age to drive a UW Health vehicle rated for 15 or more passengers.
  • Ability to be insured by Hospital’s risk management insurer which requires (1) a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and (2) successfully passing a driving background check.

Responsibilities

  • Lead 24/7 Environmental Services operations across multiple UW Health locations, including oversight of 2nd and 3rd shift teams
  • Ensure exceptional cleanliness, safety, and infection prevention in clinical, inpatient, procedural, and public spaces
  • Coach, develop, and support supervisors and frontline staff—building engaged, high-performing teams
  • Manage labor, productivity, budgets, and regulatory compliance while driving operational excellence
  • Partner cross-functionally with clinical and operational leaders to support patient care and facility needs
