TOTAL REWARDS - www.MonogramTotalRewards.com Company Paid Benefits Employee Paid Benefits Compensation Package Team Member Well-Being Rewards and Recognition Position Overview: The Environmental Health and Safety Manager will be expected to direct, develop, and implement all policies and programs related to any environmental, health, and safety processes required by state or federal regulations. The role will strive to protect the health and safety of employees, the public, and the environment from workplace hazards. The qualified individual must possess comprehensive experience working on a range of Environmental Health and Safety issues. The candidate should have up-to-date knowledge of all relevant legislation and should be able to monitor and audit facilities for compliance. Strong interpersonal skills are required for this position, as well as an ability to engage well with a diverse set of constituents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field is required.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, Radiation Safety Officer, First Aid, and CPR certification is required.
  • A valid current driver’s license is required.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Understanding of Worker’s Compensation and injury management processes and protocols.
  • Ability to identify hazards and conduct risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of ergonomics.
  • Ability to investigate incidents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain records.
  • Strong computer literacy, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong auditing and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to communicate with all levels of the company.
  • Ability to effectively work and foster good working relationships with a diverse population.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional relevant certifications are preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience working in Environmental Health and Safety, including supervisory experience, training experience, and experience in crisis management.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure regulatory compliance pertaining to Environmental and Workplace safety.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Monogram Environmental and Safety Regulatory Requirements.
  • Ensure that all documentation and submissions required for regulatory compliance are submitted.
  • Ensure the plant is free from hazards that could cause injury, illness, or accidents, by assisting plant leadership teams with various training, inspections, and audits.
  • Direct the Environmental Health and Safety programs for an assigned facility, ensuring that programs are reviewed annually and updated, as necessary.
  • Maintain and support all operations on all shifts, leading a safety culture and promoting overall safety awareness.
  • Provide training and address safety concerns as required.
  • Engage team members in safety matters via on-floor presence, committees, and special projects.
  • Manage Worker’s Compensation claims.
  • Provide visible leadership in identifying, implementing, and measuring Safety and Environmental opportunities for improvement within the plants.
  • Order and maintain safety and first aid supplies.
  • Conduct inspections and audits.
  • Provide first aid and medical support as required.
  • Mentor and develop more junior staff members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
