About The Position

As the Solutions Consultant, Enterprise Team Manager at Ramp, you will lead and develop a high-performing team of Solutions Consultants supporting Enterprise prospects. You will set the operating rhythm for complex pre-sales work, coach the team on discovery, solution design, demos, technical deal strategy, and partner closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Account Management to deliver a cohesive customer experience. You will remain close to high-impact opportunities while scaling the team’s technical ownership financial fluency, and executive presence. This is a player-coach leadership role: you will improve how the team qualifies and advances complex opportunities, create repeatable practices and assets, and use customer insight to shape Ramp’s go-to-market and product priorities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Professional Services, or a related customer-facing technical role, including 3+ years of people management or demonstrated player-coach leadership.
  • Proven success leading teams through complex enterprise sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, technical requirements, and long decision processes.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise financial operations, controllership priorities, and accounting workflows.
  • Working fluency with enterprise systems and integrations, including ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Microsoft Dynamics; APIs; SFTP; and adjacent HRIS, identity, and security systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach others on discovery, solution design, executive storytelling, technical communication, and consultative selling.
  • Strong operating judgment: able to prioritize limited resources, inspect pipeline health, make trade-offs, and drive execution in a fast-moving environment.
  • Executive presence and ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders by translating technical complexity into business value.
  • Track record of building repeatable processes, assets, and team rituals that elevate performance beyond individual contributions.
  • Experience building AI-assisted workflows for solutions, sales, or customer-facing teams.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and change-management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting fintech, spend management, accounting automation, or other financial software products.
  • Familiarity with government or public-sector selling.
  • Familiarity with Python, Java, or SQL; data integration and ETL platforms; cloud infrastructure; or enterprise authentication and security protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Enterprise Solutions Consultants; set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and support career growth.
  • Establish a high-quality operating cadence for pipeline reviews, deal strategy, forecasting, staffing, and performance management.
  • Partner with Enterprise Sales leadership to shape account strategy, qualify complex opportunities, and deploy the right solutions resources at the right moments.
  • Coach the team to lead discovery, deliver tailored demos, and architect solutions that connect Ramp’s platform, financial workflows, ERP systems, and integrations to customer priorities.
  • Engage directly in the most strategic or complex customer situations, including executive conversations, technical validation, RFPs, and escalations.
  • Build scalable playbooks, technical assets, demo standards, and knowledge-sharing practices that improve quality and consistency across the team.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Services to translate recurring customer needs into actionable feedback, roadmap context, and strong handoffs.
  • Define and inspect team health metrics such as coverage, conversion, cycle efficiency, solution quality, customer outcomes, and talent development.
  • Foster an inclusive, high-accountability culture grounded in customer empathy, strong collaboration, speed, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify practical ways for the team to use AI to improve preparation, documentation, solutioning, and customer-facing work while maintaining quality and good judgment.
