About The Position

The Manager, Enterprise Phlebotomy Operations, is responsible for leading Guardant’s enterprise mobile phlebotomy operations, including vendor management, patient navigation operations, workflow execution, and mobile phlebotomy financial performance. This role oversees nationwide mobile phlebotomy vendors and Patient Navigation Supervisors to ensure scalable, cost-effective, and high-quality patient access services. The position is accountable for operational performance, service delivery, mobile phlebotomy cost-of-goods (COGs) management, and continuous process improvement across the enterprise. This role partners cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, Medical Affairs, Customer Experience, Managed Care, Legal, and Operations leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Operations, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations, vendor management, patient services, diagnostics operations, or related operational leadership roles.
  • Experience managing operational budgets, forecasting, and healthcare services financial performance metrics.
  • Proven experience driving operational performance, vendor accountability, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, financial management, and operational reporting skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems, workflow platforms, and reporting tools such as Tableau or Excel preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing operational teams and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise mobile phlebotomy operations, including vendor performance, workflow execution, and patient access support.
  • Manage nationwide phlebotomy vendor relationships, contracting, onboarding, service-level performance, and operational escalations.
  • Oversee Oncology Patient Navigator (OPN) workflow operations and scheduling performance.
  • Drive operational standardization, workflow optimization, and service-level accountability across enterprise mobile phlebotomy operations.
  • Own mobile phlebotomy cost-of-goods (COGs) tracking, forecasting, budget management, invoice reconciliation, and variance analysis.
  • Partner with Finance on forecasting, accruals, budget planning, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Monitor and improve operational and financial KPIs, including cost per collection, redraws, no-show rates, utilization, and vendor SLA performance.
  • Manage purchase orders, invoice validation, vendor audits, and operational reporting processes.
  • Build and maintain operational and financial reporting dashboards to support leadership decision-making.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve operational issues, improve patient experience, and support enterprise initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, contractual, privacy, and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
