About The Position

Apple’s Platforms Apps & Technologies EPM team is seeking an experienced manager to lead five Engineering Project Managers responsible for delivery across core developer and user-facing frameworks. The team partners with framework engineering organizations across Swift Platform Experience, Cocoa, and Accessibility. Its programs span foundational APIs and frameworks such as SwiftUI, UIKit, AppIntents, and CoreGraphics, supporting developers inside and outside Apple and experiences across Apple platforms.

The role leads complex, highly cross-functional programs at the intersection of framework engineering, design, first-party app teams, and system components. The manager will help drive alignment and delivery of features used by millions of third-party developers and contributing to Apple’s own apps, Apple Intelligence, accessibility, and platform experiences. The manager will also collaborate with program management leaders across Platforms Apps & Technologies and the broader SWE organization to improve how framework software is planned and delivered at scale.

Requirements

• 5+ years of project management experience.
• 2+ years of experience managing project managers.
• Demonstrated ability to drive large, complex cross-functional software programs spanning multiple engineering organizations and release cycles.
• Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to hire, develop, coach, and inspire high-performing teams.
• Solid analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and schedule rigor.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive alignment across engineering, design, and program management stakeholders.
• Experience leading process improvement initiatives and building scalable program management practices.
• BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Apple’s developer platform and framework ecosystem, including UIKit, SwiftUI, AppKit, and Foundation.
• Experience managing programs that intersect with on-device AI or machine learning features.
• Background in accessibility, developer experience, or platform software.

Responsibilities

• Hire, lead, coach, inspire, and develop a team of five Engineering Project Managers.
• Lead the team’s delivery work with framework engineering organizations across Swift Platform Experience, Cocoa, and Accessibility.
• Drive alignment across framework engineering, design, first-party app teams, system components, and program management stakeholders.
• Partner with program management leaders across Platforms Apps & Technologies and the broader SWE organization to improve planning and delivery of framework software at scale.
