About The Position

The Manager of DTSV Product Controlling provides financial steering across product cost, revenue, pricing, contribution margin, planning and forecasting topics to help the business achieve financial targets. This role partners closely with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Materials, Accounting, BI/FA teams and senior management to translate product cost and margin data into clear decisions, countermeasures and sustainable business processes. The position is central to modernizing the product controlling operating model by simplifying recurring work, improving documentation and controls, and building data-driven workflows and dashboards around tracking units, planning assumptions, option and project costing, pricing governance and core product cost development. The future-state expectation is a forward-looking finance leader who anticipates cost, pricing, revenue and margin risks, strengthens cross-functional alignment, develops the team, and creates scalable processes that improve accuracy, speed, transparency and stakeholder engagement. This leader will be critical to the long term success and sustainability of DTSV, driving key cross-functional projects that require unparalleled financial support and insights in a ever evolving fast paced organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Prefer 8+ years of related finance, accounting, product controlling, cost controlling, FP&A or business analysis experience.
  • 2+ years of group leader, supervisory or project lead experience.
  • Strong accounting background with awareness of inventory valuation, product cost, commodity/material cost, cost of goods sold, revenue and margin analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate financial data into clear business decisions, countermeasures and stakeholder-ready reporting.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced business/finance degree.
  • SAP experience, including cbFC-specific experience.
  • Experience with or ability to quickly learn PHNX, IMS, Tableau, Alteryx, Snowflake, or other data and related product costing/reporting tools.
  • Experience building dashboards, workflow documentation, business process controls, cross-functional governance and executive-ready financial analysis.
  • Experience partnering effectively with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Materials, Accounting, BI/FA and senior leadership.
  • Track record of improving manual or fragmented finance processes through automation, documentation, controls and sustainable operating rhythms.
  • Team player focused on adding value and working cross-functionally with clear understanding of how to achieve results

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop Product Controlling resources supporting product costing, revenue controlling, financial planning and analysis, project costing and cross-functional process improvement.
  • Create clear ownership, backup coverage and documentation for critical recurring processes, including cross-training and redundancy across team activities.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and compliance expectations, including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, and ICS processes
  • Lead revenue controlling, contribution margin reporting, monthly/quarterly CM walks, sales backlog monitoring and analysis of pricing, concessions, provisions, dealer/customer impacts and margin development.
  • Partner with Sales and senior management to support planning, forecasting and major business cycles, including revenue, discount, concession, pricing and margin assumptions.
  • Ensure product costs, inventory values and cost standards are properly stated in accordance with IFRS and corporate accounting policies, including month-end close activities for cost and inventory validation.
  • Oversee base model, option, labor, overhead, material and part-level cost analysis; investigate variances, cost changes, reserve methodology and purchase price/vendor impacts.
  • Drive standardized product cost development across DTSV products by improving tracking unit data, cost/price workflows, reason codes, supplier information and monthly refresh processes.
  • Develop sustainable planning and forecasting assumptions by connecting backlog costing, cost development, supplier allocation, volumes, schedule timing and contribution margin logic.
  • Lead or support option costing strategy, including databook refresh standards, DMC price-to-cost mapping, Master Reference Document governance and PriceRules/PHNX enhancement needs.
  • Identify manual, fragmented or high-risk processes and convert them into documented, sustainable and controlled workflows and dashboards wherever feasible.
