About The Position

The Manager, Distribution Network & Inbound Planning is responsible for coordinating and optimizing inbound merchandise flows across the national distribution network while ensuring optimal use of network capacity and appropriate inventory levels.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management or a related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in logistics, planning, inventory management or distribution network management.
Demonstrated people-management experience, ideally within a high-volume, seasonal distribution environment.
Proven experience managing strategic projects and optimizing processes.
Minimum 5 years of active ERP experience within a Supply Chain environment.
Strong understanding of distribution, warehousing, procurement, inventory management and capacity planning processes.
Strong knowledge of replenishment, inbound planning and capacity allocation concepts.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong Excel and data-analysis capabilities.
Ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations and decisions.
Strong understanding of ERP processes and a demonstrated willingness to maximize system capabilities rather than relying on manual solutions.
Bilingual French and English required, both written and spoken, due to the national scope of the role and frequent interaction with predominantly English-speaking partners and stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

Experience with SAP, particularly MM and/or EWM, strongly preferred.
Experience in digital transformation or ERP implementation/enhancement projects is a strong asset.
Experience within a hub & spoke environment is an asset.

Responsibilities

Define, in collaboration with Operations, the distribution center parameters required to efficiently meet demand, including capacity, throughput and space utilization.
Develop distribution center space utilization plans covering administrative, warehousing, operational and delivery requirements.
Participate in strategic distribution network planning and optimization.
Develop strategies to maximize network capacity utilization while reducing transfer and operating costs.
Optimize supplier constraints, including MOQ and lead times, in relation to redistribution capabilities within the hub & spoke network.
Develop and optimize seasonal booking strategies for winter and summer periods.
Lead inbound coordination across the entire national distribution network.
Ensure effective inbound planning to maximize site capacity while maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
Work closely with Operations and Distribution teams across all sites to identify issues, analyze gaps and implement effective solutions.
Establish, standardize and document replenishment processes throughout the year to ensure efficient product flow between suppliers, warehouses and the network.
Identify gaps between budgets, forecasts and actual results and ensure corrective actions are implemented and monitored.
Contribute to improving inbound accuracy and optimizing the performance of external partners, including suppliers and carriers.
