About The Position

The Manager, Digital Marketplaces, is responsible for executing brand strategies across all marketplace channels to deliver the commercial objectives. You will be managing both 1P and 3P marketplace relationships, as well as external marketing agency and content teams. The marketplace sales channel lies at the intersection of multiple teams, including sales ops, merchandising, marketing, and commercial; the ability to remotely collaborate with cross functional teams is critical. You will lead channel strategy, including distribution, product assortments, advertising, revenue plans, OPEX, and most importantly, people. As the leader of Smartwool and icebreaker’s marketplace channel, you will be responsible for consistently communicating marketplace feedback and channel specific needs to inform stakeholders and all aspects of the go-to-market process. This role reports to the Director, US Wholesale Sales, Smartwool and icebreaker.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in Business, Marketing or related field of study and 6+ years of sales experience, preferably in Amazon or a relevant digital retailer
  • Demonstrated record of successfully managing and growing a marketplace business with experience managing an extensive, segmented product range
  • Consumer understanding and competitive market knowledge as it relates to digital platforms
  • Experience creating and executing Amazon search and display ad strategies
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to execute multiple projects on a seasonal basis
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent MS Office skills with a focus on analysis and presentation
  • A team and customer-first attitude, with a high level of dedication

Responsibilities

  • Lead the marketplace strategy to achieve commercial targets and ensure a brand-right, and best-in-class consumer experience
  • Collaborate with the product and merchandising teams to develop channel-right assortments
  • Lead the external advertising team and strategy to optimize consumer experience and drive awareness
  • Develop and execute seasonal search and display advertising strategy in partnership with wholesale marketing and external partnerships
  • Develop and present channel insights and future strategic initiatives to leadership
