About The Position

The Manager, Digital Design is a talented graphic designer who can take concepts and ideas and create visual representations in both print and electronic media through design that connects with the audience. The Manager of Digital Design is responsible for delivering effective, aesthetic, on-brand creative for Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) products such as events, membership, sustainability programs, and publications. As a custodian of PLASTICS brand s, the Manager, Digital Design conceptualize s and implements creative solutions that consistently and clearly communicate brand identity, positioning, and messaging through all brand touchpoints and promotional campaigns including email promotional creative, email templates, social media graphics, digital media, web, signage, and print collateral.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, arts, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a related position as an in-house designer for a marketing agency, organization or trade association.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and After Effects.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn WordPress, Ceros, and other online platforms.
  • Knowledge of graphic design principles, email management, and customer service management (CRM) tools.
  • Written and verbal communications skills with diverse stakeholder audiences.
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail, problem-solving, organizational, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work on a variety of projects, adjust to changing priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collectively to build consensus.
  • Ability to provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Creates print and digital graphic design content for the organization and all additional PLASTICS brands (e.g., web graphics, branding campaigns, social media, infographics, display ads, email graphics, print collateral, event materials).
  • Contribute to a wide range of projects and media across multiple software programs to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that support business goals.
  • Handles day-to-day graphics requests from multiple departments.
  • With input from managers, assists with the visual and creative execution of the PLASTICS’ marketing campaigns in alignment with the association’s marketing vision, including branding, positioning, voice, and personality of the association.
  • Maintains brand standards consistently and collaborates with cross-functional teams to stay up to date with and relay updates.
  • Updates and maintains internal databases for designs, photography, and video.
