About The Position

Nametag is seeking its first dedicated brand designer to lead the visual identity and design language across all customer touchpoints. This role involves setting the visual direction, building scalable design systems, and ensuring high craft standards for all Nametag branding. The designer will be responsible for evolving and maintaining the visual identity, creating marketing collateral, and ensuring visual coherence across digital and physical platforms. This is an opportunity to own a brand end-to-end in a fast-paced startup environment.

Requirements

  • 6 to 10 years in brand or visual design, with a portfolio that shows range and craft.
  • Experience building or substantially rebuilding a brand identity system.
  • Deep Figma skills: components, auto-layout, variables, the whole toolkit.
  • Strong typographic and layout fundamentals.
  • Experience across formats: digital, print, presentation, video, environmental, and social.
  • Comfortable being the only designer for a while, setting priorities and shipping without hand-holding.
  • Collaborative energy: takes feedback, gives it well, and is not precious about the work.

Nice To Haves

  • First or early design hire at a startup or scale-up.
  • Background in cybersecurity, identity, infrastructure, or enterprise software.
  • Comfortable working in HubSpot to build and deploy assets.
  • Motion and animation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Evolve and maintain Nametag's visual identity and design language.
  • Build scalable design systems including templates, asset libraries, and workflows.
  • Write and maintain brand guidelines and enforce them.
  • Design paid ad creative across static, motion, and social, with a focus on brand reinforcement and driving results.
  • Utilize AI tools for image generation, creative iteration, and motion.
  • Partner with growth and content marketing on campaign briefs, iteration cycles, email imagery, landing pages, and other conversion-focused touchpoints.
  • Test creative by developing hypotheses, taking creative risks, and translating learnings into stronger creative.
  • Own the visual design of the website, including layout, hierarchy, and brand expression.
  • Create and integrate video assets into the web and digital experience, including hero videos, explainer clips, and motion graphics.
  • Design landing pages, ads, and campaign pages that convert.
  • Maintain visual coherence across the digital experience as pages are added and the brand matures.
  • Design physical presence for events, including booth graphics, signage, banners, and printed collateral.
  • Design virtual presence for events, including webinar templates, video production assets, and presentation systems.
  • Ensure consistency between physical and virtual event branding, website, and other materials.
  • Own branded SWAG from concept through production.
  • Manage print and merchandise vendors, proofs, and timelines.
  • Design co-branded materials for partner relationships.
  • Design customer-facing content that reflects Nametag's brand and its context.
  • Maintain brand integrity in co-branded assets.
