About The Position

The DC Operations Manager ensures a continuous stream of talent to sustain organizational growth and improve operations by attracting, retaining, and developing team members and supporting their career growth. The role operates under limited management supervision and has direct responsibility for a distribution center department (Inbound and/or Outbound) with 150 or more team members, including budgeting, P&L, and staffing. The position is eligible for a bonus based on individual and group performance.

Requirements

Five to ten years of prior leadership experience in a warehouse-related field.
Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center, including material handling, inventory tracking, and providing work direction to other teammates.
Associate degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Meet regularly with the General Manager to review work methods, procedures, controls, and staffing to support accurate and timely product movement, and recommend alternative solutions as needed.
Participate in conference calls as needed and maintain a strong presence at the work location to assist with and resolve issues.
Partner with the General Manager and/or Assistant General Manager to drive continuous improvement, maximize efficiency gains, and reduce overall costs.
Maintain strong working relationships with the management team and relevant corporate partners, and communicate regularly with facility management about issues and responses.
Coach, train, and develop the management team through informal and formal job-performance feedback, including on-floor coaching and written evaluations.
Conduct start-up meetings with Department Managers to discuss daily results, directives and workloads, staffing needs, schedules, safety and housekeeping issues, and work assignments.
Monitor safety procedures and ensure that corresponding personal protective equipment is used.
