About The Position

The Manager, Data Center Critical Facilities Operations leads day-to-day site operations for Fleet’s critical mechanical, electrical, and controls infrastructure. The role ensures safe, reliable operations in accordance with Fleet standards and leads the frontline team responsible for shift operations, inspections, response, procedures, and routine operational discipline. As the operating leader closest to the plant, this position is accountable for execution quality, team readiness, operational risk management, and response performance at the site level. The role is onsite in Sparks, Nevada. The expected salary range is $120,000–$150,000, plus a discretionary bonus. Requirements

At least 7 years of experience in data center operations, critical facilities operations, or similar mission-critical environments.
At least 3 years of frontline leadership experience in a 24/7 operating environment.
Strong working knowledge of critical power, cooling, controls, and monitoring systems.
Experience with operating procedures, incident response, change control, and plant risk management.
Ability to lead teams calmly and effectively during abnormal situations and operational events.
Strong communication and coordination skills across shifts and functions.
Experience with DCIM/BMS/EPMS/SCADA and operational ticketing or work management tools.
Willingness and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

Lead site critical facilities operations teams responsible for monitoring, rounds, response, procedure execution, and safe operation of critical infrastructure.
Ensure site activities follow approved procedures, change control requirements, permit-to-work expectations, and Fleet standards.
Manage shift coverage, daily operating rhythms, handoff quality, issue escalation, and event coordination.
Maintain readiness for abnormal operations, outages, switching, emergency response, and customer-impacting incidents.
Partner with maintenance, engineering, and critical systems teams to identify plant issues early and resolve them effectively.
Drive operator fundamentals, including rounds quality, log quality, alarm response, housekeeping, procedure use, and escalation discipline.
Own site-level operating KPIs, including event response, rounds completion, procedure compliance, incident quality, and team qualification status.
Support operator and technician training, qualification, and coaching.
Build a culture of vigilance, humility, operational paranoia, and accountability.
Help deliver near-perfect execution in safety, security, and availability through disciplined site operations and strong frontline leadership.
