About The Position

The Dangerous Goods / Regulatory Compliance Manager ensures compliance with regulations governing the handling, storage, transportation, and documentation of hazardous materials. The role provides operational leadership, oversees dangerous goods programs, supports audits, and drives continuous improvement to support a safe, compliant, and efficient operation. The position is with DP World in Fairburn, Georgia.

Requirements

Experience overseeing dangerous goods programs.
Expertise in DOT, IATA, IMDG, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
Experience conducting audits and implementing safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and international hazardous materials regulations, including DOT, IATA, IMDG, OSHA, and EPA requirements.
Maintain knowledge of regulatory updates and communicate changes to leadership and affected teams.
Oversee classification, labeling, packaging, documentation, and placarding of dangerous goods shipments.
Manage day-to-day dangerous goods operations involving the receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of hazardous materials.
Conduct dangerous goods risk assessments and implement hazard control measures.
Ensure dangerous goods are segregated, stored, and disposed of in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
Investigate dangerous goods incidents, spills, and near-misses, and lead corrective action plans.
Develop and deliver training programs to certify employees in hazardous materials handling and transportation procedures.
Ensure training records, certifications, and recertifications are current and compliant.
Coach team members on best practices, safety procedures, and operational standards.
Support audits and drive continuous improvement in dangerous goods compliance and operations.
