About The Position

The Manager, Culture supports the execution and delivery of Culture initiatives at Ross. This role partners with HR and business leaders to develop culture programs that build on our strengths, identify opportunities to strategically evolve our company culture, and support the total organization to ensure alignment with the culture shifts we continue to make. The role focuses on coordinating initiatives that support associates at all levels, creating accountability that shift behaviors to support and sustain this work while driving progress against our culture priorities. The base salary range for this role is $96,700 – $120,000. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.

Requirements

  • College degree required, preferably with 5+ years in an analytical environment leading large-scale projects
  • Project management: Able to manage projects and workstreams from start to finish with limited involvement from GVP. Successful candidates will be comfortable working in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Communication: Must possess excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Ability to communicate complex findings clearly and succinctly and contribute to presentations to senior-level executives. Experience drafting senior-level communication and presentations is highly desired.
  • Teamwork: Must be able to listen, understand, and communicate with cross-functional partners at all levels of the company. Builds effective working relationships within and outside HR. Shows strong leadership skills and can effectively guide and motivate others.
  • Hands-On Execution & Delivery: Work with leaders to translate strategy into action and support the execution of culture, engagement, and employee experience initiatives. Demonstrate strong ownership, accountability, attention to detail, and follow-through to deliver high-quality results.
  • Successful candidates must have strong quantitative skills with attention to detail at each stage of the deliverable is critical.
  • Strong fundamental business skills – must be Excel and PowerPoint proficient.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Culture Lead to implement culture strategies and programs (i.e., engagement surveys, recognition programs, etc.).
  • Manage enterprise-wide workstreams and projects by partnering with stakeholders to assess organizational needs and drive necessary culture shifts including: Developing and maintaining detailed project plans, timelines, and tracking tools; Coordinate meetings, agendas, and follow-ups with key stakeholders and working teams; Prepare materials and updates for leadership forums; Create and manage measurement plans and progress reports; help vet and coordinate with vendors to launch surveys, focus groups, etc.; Partner with communications team to drive awareness and understanding of culture initiatives across the organization; Manage our Glassdoor initiatives, including monthly reporting and analysis; Manage our Milestone Award Program, including coordination of Work Anniversary certificates and award distribution throughout the Buying Office; Partner with the Communications team on the planning and execution of all building-wide Associate events.
  • Gather and synthesize Associate feedback from surveys, focus groups, listening sessions, exit feedback, and other channels to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and translate insights into actions that strengthen culture, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Translate culture and business priorities into actionable plans and authentic communications by partnering with Communications & Engagement; applies employer branding and associate insights to drive impactful campaigns, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Analyzes problems and identifies practical solutions based on facts and data. Researches external best practices and emerging trends in culture and employee experience; identify and recommend innovative ideas or pilots that could be adapted to enhance culture at Ross.
