About The Position

Teen Vogue is seeking a creative development lead to drive the continued growth of the brand. As Manager, Programming & Creative Development, Teen Vogue, you will collaborate with video and editorial teams to produce premium, shareable content for social media followers. This role involves nurturing, overseeing, and expanding a digital video IP portfolio. The position is based in New York City and reports to the Director, Programming and Creative Development, Teen Vogue. The core purpose of this role is to enhance Teen Vogue’s digital entertainment offerings, focusing on original social content for global platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, with an emphasis on high-quality, scalable video. It also includes developing video franchises that span multiple platforms and markets, and providing video support for live cultural events such as red carpets and beauty expos.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in the digital media space.
  • Interview experience with high-profile talent, including experts and celebrities.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite and familiarity with creative tools for high-quality social video production.
  • Experience editing formatted short-form video with graphics in Adobe Premiere.
  • General knowledge of video EQ gear and filming with an iPhone.
  • Knowledge of internet culture and the digital video landscape (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube), including platform-specific elements and success factors.
  • Proven ability to balance long-term value with near-term business goals.
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload and prioritize appropriately.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and lead development brainstorms for new video series and one-offs.
  • Pitch video ideas across social and YouTube to fill Teen Vogue’s programming calendars.
  • Align with brand editorial priorities and KPIs to create 5 social videos weekly.
  • Produce and direct shoots for all video platforms, including celebrity and editor-led content.
  • Set up, capture, and break down on-set EQ for weekly social video shoots.
  • Represent Teen Vogue at events, capturing on-site interviews at red carpets, premieres, pop ups, and more.
  • Self-film high-quality video on an iPhone and execute edits in Adobe Premiere.
  • Lead studio shoots with production gear, demonstrating general knowledge of Sony cameras.
  • Generate ideas for pre-existing series and create new pilots for digital video platforms (TikTok, Reels, YouTube).
  • Establish visual best practices and the look and feel of series and pilots with brand stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team on talent development (internal and external).
  • Track video performance and re-evaluate creative strategies in conjunction with Audience Development to engage existing fans and attract new viewers and advertisers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on Teen Vogue editorial, events, and tentpole initiatives.
  • Assist with Vogue video and social production when necessary.
